The Miami Dolphins once again showed their strong sense of community Tuesday when they unveiled their latest initiative.
And in the words of one of the beneficiaries, they are “doing it big.”
Dolphins President/CEO Tom Garfinkel announced at a press conference at Miami Norland Senior High School that the team will donate $1 million each of the next four years to City Year Miami, a nonprofit organization that mentors at-risk students in public schools, for its programs at Norland and Carol City High.
The donation will come from the Miami Dolphins Foundation’s educational pillar through funds raised during Fins Weekend, a three-day event scheduled this year from May 14-16.
