The Miami Dolphins have announced a two-year extension for TE Adam Shaheen. They acquired Shaheen from the Chicago Bears back in late July in exchange for a 2021 seventh round draft pick.
The deal is reported to be for 2 years and worth up to $7.85 million ($3.2 million guaranteed), per Adam Schefter, ESPN.
Shaheen was drafted by the Bears, 45th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. Coming out of Division II Ashland, he was ranked as the 4th best Tight End prospect on NFLDraftScout.com.
He was made famous, in the pre-draft combine, for his affinity of Chiptole’s burritos.
