DAVIE — Don’t expect to see new Dolphins defensive coordinator Vance Joseph working from the booth during games.
“I’m going to be on the sideline,” Joseph said last week. “That’s my comfort. That’s where I’ve been my entire career. I’ll be on the sideline.”
Joseph, 43, has spent the past 11 seasons coaching the secondaries of the 49ers, Texans and Bengals. This marks the first season Joseph will serve as a defensive coordinator from the sideline, though.
“I don’t think there are any cons at all,” Joseph said of coaching from the sideline. “I think as far as calling a game, it’s more about down-and-distance.
