DAVIE, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins defense will get an injection of fresh legs on Sunday. Cornerback Chris Culliver and defensive tackle Earl Mitchell -- two veterans with plenty of experience -- will make their season debuts on Sunday against the San Diego Chargers.
Both players are recovering from significant injuries and were added to the active roster this week. Culliver had reconstructive knee surgery in the offseason and was activated from the physically unable to perform list. Mitchell had a calf injury and returned from injured reserve.
Each player considers himself at or near 100 percent, which is a big plus this late in the season.
