HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins' defense took a big hit in Week 8 when Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Wake tore his left Achilles tendon and was lost for the season.
Surgery followed and Wake is in a boot for an extended period while he recovers. The Dolphins are 2-3 since Wake was injured. However, he’s staying positive and active through the rehabilitation process.
"Obviously, I can’t work on my leg," Wake said Friday night at the Dolphins' Fifty Seasons Gala. "But if it’s getting under the bench and getting my bench press back, studying extra tape, things that maybe you don’t focus on at this point and time in the season.
