The Miami Dolphins will release Pro Bowl punter Brandon Fields today.
Fields, a Pro Bowl selection in 2013, has been the Dolphins' punter since 2007, when Miami selected the Michigan State product in the seventh round of that year's draft.
This offseason the Dolphins restructured Fields contract, lowing his base salary to create some flexibility. But Miami also added Matt Darr, and the rookie from Tennessee has had some impressive games.
