The Miami Dolphins formally completed their interview with Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase on Thursday. He is the fifth person to interview for Miami’s head coaching vacancy.
Gase, 37, is considered a strong candidate. He is a young, up-and-coming coach with a history of working well with quarterbacks, which is important for the Dolphins and inconsistent quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Gase helped turn around Jay Cutler in Chicago this year. He also has done well with Peyton Manning and Tim Tebow with the Denver Broncos.
In addition to Gase, the Dolphins also completed interviews with Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin, Buffalo Bills running back’s coach Anthony Lynn and former head coaches Mike Shanahan and Mike Smith this week.
