The Miami Dolphins have started their first interview for a new head coach, according to a report from the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero. According to Salguero, the Dolphins are currently interviewing former Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith. The team has not confirmed the interview, typically waiting until after the interview is complete to make any official announcement.
Smith coached the Falcons from 2008 to 2014, earning a 66-46 record over that span. He was selected the AP Coach of the Year in 2008. He earned Playoff berths for the Falcons in 2008, and 2010 through 2012.
