Jones has played the last three seasons with the Detroit Lions and can play multiple defensive line positions. He was hosted on two separate occasions in Miami but because Jones would have counted against the 2017 compensatory pick formula, the Dolphins opted to wait.
On May 12th that deadline passed and teams can now add players without losing comp picks.

Miami has not signed him as of yet but he could be on the way to South Florida.
