The Miami Dolphins have been looking for a pass-rusher to help on the defensive line since Cameron Wake went down for the year with an achilles injury, and the team has decided to address that need by claiming former New York Jets LB/DE and first-round draft pick Quinton Coples off the waiver wire this afternoon. CB Zack Bowman was waived to make room for him on the roster.
Coples, a former North Carolina standout, was drafted 16th overall in 2012 by the New York Jets, and is now reunited with Mike Tannenbaum, who was the GM who drafted Coples over the likes of New England pass-rusher Chandler Jones while he was the GM with the New York Jets.
