As the New England Patriots continue purging their defensive line, the Dolphins continue rebuilding theirs.
The Dolphins claimed tackle Chris Jones off waivers from the Patriots on Monday, adding him to a line that will include newcomer Mario Williams at end.
Jones, 25, is a 6-foot-2, 302-pounder from Bowling Green drafted in the sixth round by Houston in 2013, but he never made the Texans’ roster. After also failing to make the Bucs, he was claimed by the Patriots, all in 2013.
Jones started 11 games that season, making 30 tackles and recording six sacks.
