Dolphins HC Adam Gase announced Tuesday that CB Tony Lippett suffered a torn Achilles on Monday will now miss the entire 2017 season.

Miami will likely place Lippett on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.

Lippett, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2,494,764 contract and stands to make base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2016, Lippett appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins and recorded 67 tackles, four interceptions, and 10 pass defenses.
