DAVIE - The Miami Dolphins have called up tailback Jonas Gray and offensive lineman Sam Brenner, promoting those two players up from the practice squad.
Gray, who spent last season with the New England Patriots, was signed earlier this week. The former Notre Dame standout spent his rookie season with the Dolphins while he rehabbed a ACL injury he suffered his senior season.
He didn't make the Dolphins roster following a solid training camp performance in 2014 and was subsequently picked up by New England. He rushed for 412 yards and five touchdowns on 89 carries for the Patriots.
