Adam Gase stuck with a familiar name when it came to filling the Dolphins’ vacant coaching position for the offensive line, Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
According to a league source, the Dolphins hired Jeremiah Washburn as the team’s offensive line coach, allowing the assistant with 16 years of coaching experience to return to a unit he served as the assistant offensive line coach for in 2016.
Washburn left the Dolphins to become the offensive line coach in Chicago last offseason, but John Fox’s firing this past week made him a free agent.
