DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins defensive end Olivier Vernon knows this is not a typical week in the regular season.
"It's a Monday night game; that's all I needed to hear," an excited Vernon said. "Monday night games are static [electric] right there. Everybody wants to play a Monday night game."
Despite its inconsistent season, Miami (5-7) is aiming to put its best foot forward and showcase itself before a national audience when the team hosts the New York Giants at Sun Life Stadium. There will be many football fans around the country who will see the Dolphins for the first time this year.
