Tight end Jordan Cameron will return to the Dolphins at a reduced salary.
The Dolphins and Cameron have agreed to a restructure, a source told the Palm Beach Post.
Cameron, who was limited to 35 receptions on 70 targets for 386 receiving yards and three touchdowns in his first season with Miami, was set to earn $7.5 million this year. It would’ve cost the team $9.5 million against the cap.
But his contract wasn’t guaranteed so the Dolphins had leverage.
The move will save the Dolphins $1.5 million, according to Fox Sports’ Alex Marvez.
