Dolphins activate Culliver, promote Pitts

The Miami Dolphins made several roster moves on Monday, including the activation of cornerback Chris Culliver. The move brings the veteran to the Dolphins active roster after the team signed him in August and placed him on the physically unable to perform list in September.

Culliver has played in 52 career games, with 26 starts. He played for the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2012, then with the Washington Redskins in 2015. He has 217 career tackles, seven interceptions, 34 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

The Dolphins also promoted cornerback Lafayette Pitts to the active roster after a stint on the practice squad.
