As reported by Greg Beacham and the Associated Press https://www.yahoo.com/news/latest-eagles-sign-torrey-smith-cut-49ers-170530427–nfl.html, a late night trade has the Los Angeles Rams sending defensive end William Hayes and their seventh round pick (#223) to the Dolphins for Miami’s pick in the sixth round (#206).
Hayes has accumulated 34.5 sacks and 7 forced fumbles in his nine-year stint in the NFL. His first four years were spent with the Tennessee Titans while the last five with the STL/LA Rams.
This signing along with the extension earlier this year of Dolphins star Cameron Wake, and the resigning of Andre Branch, the Dolphins have alleviated a major need.
