One day after Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Wake went down with an Achilles injury, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Wake tore the ligament and is done for the season. The team also confirmed it suspects Wake has a tear but is waiting for the final MRI results this afternoon.

Enter backup defensive ends Derrick Shelby and Terrence Fede. Shelby is a four-year veteran who is a favorite of the coaching staff for his technique and fundamentals.
