A couple times a week you can look on the sideline at a Dolphins practice and spot legendary quarterback Dan Marino, the Dolphins’ special adviser to the president and CEO. On certain occasions interim coach Dan Campbell taps Marino for advice, and Campbell appreciates the contribution.
Sometimes.
“What he contributed the other day, I guess the day before the game at New England,” Campbell said with a smile, “we were getting ready for the game and something happened on his phone and he couldn’t get it turned off, so it was very distracting.”
But seriously...
“Just to have Dan Marino around, first of all, he’s a guy’s guy, he’s one of the greatest that’s ever played this game,” Campbell said.
