Dan Campbell: Philly is an ‘Electric Atmosphere’

Miami Dolphins coach Dan Campbell reflected on his playing days with the Cowboys when he played before a nasty Philly crowd.

“Yeah, it was always, you know it was pretty brutal,” Campbell said as the Dolphins prepare to face the Eagles on Sunday. “Just going in and the crowd and the fans and there was up into that point, Lincoln I played in, I don’t know how many years I got there, but I played at the Vet and that was unique. I remember we scored, I don’t remember what year it was, but we scored to win in overtime, I think I was a rookie and I remember we were all dogpiling and I think it was (Michael) Strahan, he ended up returning I don’t know if it was a pick or it was a fumble for the win and we’re running down there to dogpile and somebody had one of those, like 32-ounce, looked like a mug and it was full of tobacco spit and just spilt it all over the pile and I went to dive in and not so much, but hey they’re crude man, they get after you and again, it’s an electric atmosphere it really is, yes it’s hostile, but it is fun to play in.
