It didn’t take long for the Dolphins’ and NFL protest of the national anthem to hit the late-night comedy shows.
In Tuesday night’s edition of The Daily Show on Comedy Central, host Trevor Noah addressed the growing movement in the NFL, started by 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and including four members of the Dolphins, who knelt before Sunday’s opener in Seattle.
Said Noah: “Let’s address this real quick: Every time an athlete or celebrity gets into a scandal, there’s an endless amount of people saying, ‘Hey! People look up to you! You’re not just an athlete, you’re a role model!
