DAVIE — Griff Whalen studies film of Doug Baldwin, his former Stanford teammate, and he’d really like it if you’d consider comparing him to Baldwin.
“Similar skill set,” Whalen, a Miami Dolphins wide receiver said.
It has occured to Whalen — and me, because I asked him about it — that it’s more common for receivers who look like Whalen (who is white) to be compared to receivers like Wes Welker (the former Dolphin), Wayne Chrebet (the former Jet) or Julian Edelman (the current Patriot) because, well, they are all white, too.
