MIAMI (CBSMiami) — The draft drama surrounding the Miami Dolphins’ newest pick, Laremy Tunsil, has grabbed the attention of politicians.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie weighed in on the athlete’s controversy after video surfaced just minutes before Thursday’s NFL draft of Tunsil allegedly smoking marijuana from a gas mask bong.
“It’s unbelievable,” Christie said on CBS Sports’ Boomer & Carton. “Because the bong hits aren’t enough. Give me the gas mask too… it’s incredible. I can’t take my eyes off it. It’s unbelievable.”
Rated to go 1st overall by many experts, Tunsil experienced a dramatic fall down teams’ draft boards because of the video until Miami selected him at #13.
