The Miami Dolphins had a chance to extend their AFC East lead early in the 2021 NFL season with a win over the Buffalo Bills. After beating the New England Patriots in Foxboro last week, the Dolphins were home and looking to move to 2-0 while dropping the Bills to 0-2.
Instead, the Dolphins never really showed up. Even when they had a good play or started to put together a drive, a penalty, dropped pass, or sack was never far away. While the Bills were clearly the better team on the field on Sunday, the Dolphins were fighting against themselves almost as much as they battled the Bills.
