The Miami Dolphins claimed former New York Jets outside linebacker Quinton Coples off waivers on Tuesday. The Dolphins were not the only AFC East team to try to grab the pass rusher, with the Buffalo Bills putting in an unsuccessful claim.
The Miami Dolphins lost to the Buffalo Bills twice this year and are sitting at 4-6 on the season. Those losses, as well as the other four, helped Miami beat Buffalo in a minor battle on Tuesday: the claiming of defensive end/outside linebacker Quinton Coples. The New York Jets waived Coples on Monday, giving up on the team's 2012 16th overall draft pick and a player who never seemed to fit the Jets' defensive scheme.
