The Buffalo Bills swapped punters on Tuesday, releasing Colton Schmidt for the second time this year and adding former Miami Dolphins punter Matt Darr. The move gives Buffalo a punter who, during his two years with Miami, was solid and could change field position - but he has also been out of football for a year-and-a-half.
Darr joined the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee in 2015. He was brought into the team as competition for incumbent punter Brandon Fields, eventually beating out the veteran. In two seasons with the Dolphins, Darr averaged 46.
