After some future Dolphins players took part in their third practice of the weekend Saturday, the organization unveiled plans to celebrate its glorious past.
The Dolphins will be competing in their 50th NFL season in 2015, and the team will mark the occasion in a big way.
Among other things, the Dolphins will wear a patch on their uniforms commemorating the 50th season; the team will wear a 1966 throwback jersey for the Monday night game against the New York Giants on Dec. 14; the top 50 players in franchise history will be selected; original season-ticket holders will be recognized at every home game; and a book commemorating the first 50 seasons will be published at the conclusion of the season.
