‘7-Eleven’ Hogan on brink of offer sheet from Patriots

This would buy a lot of Slurpees.

The Boston Herald is confirming what has been out there for days — that receiver Chris Hogan, a one-time tryout with the Dolphins — is on the brink of signing an offer sheet with the Patriots. It’s believed to be for $12 million over three years and the Bills don’t have much cap room with which to match within five days once it’s signed or lose him.

Hogan, nicknamed “7-Eleven” by running back Reggie Bush while he was in Dolphins camp (he never did make the team), caught on with the Bills and had 450 yards and two touchdowns last season.
