Earlier on Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons demolished the Green Bay Packers on their way to the franchise’s second NFC Championship. This evening, the New England Patriots followed them to Super Bowl LI by beating the Pittsburgh Steelers for the AFC Championship.
The evening game started with the Patriots driving down the field on their opening possession, but had to settle for a 31-yard field goal. A few possessions later, they added a touchdown, giving them a 10-0 first quarter lead.
The Steelers would add a touchdown of their own in the second quarter, but miss the extra point.
