The Miami Dolphins know they need to update the interior of their offensive line as they plan to become a more physical team under new head coach Adam Gase, and the Palm Beach Post reports the getting a guard is a top priority for the Dolphins in the NFL Draft.
However, one big problem for Miami is that there might not be a lineman worth taking with the No. 8 overall pick. Ole Miss' Laremy Tunsil is likely to be off the board with one of the top three picks, and Notre Dame's Ronnie Stanley - the other projected top 10 offensive lineman - is a tackle, not a guard.
Miami could work around that if they shift Stanley (or current guard Branden Albert) over to guard, but another option worth looking at is for the Dolphins to trade back in the draft.
Michigan State's Jack Conklin and Ohio State's Taylor Decker could be guards in the NFL, but they're both projected to be mid-to-late first-round picks.
The Dolphins could also elect to take a guard on Day Two, when there will be more options available.
