There's some good news for Miami Dolphins fans. It turns out that QB Ryan Tannehill didn't tear his ACL as initially feared. He only suffered a sprained MCL and ACL.
Adam Gase says Ryan Tannehill has an ACL and MCL SPRAIN. Not torn!

A sprain can be a partial tear, but it's not as severe as the standard ACL tear. There will be some recovery time and Gase doesn't know if Tannehill will be able to play this year. But, surgery isn't likely needed and it's a big break for Tannehill.
He won't play against the Jets either way.

The Miami Dolphins beat the Arizona Cardinals on a last-second field goal, but they might have lost their starting QB. Ryan Tannehill left the game with a knee injury and head coach Adam Gase fears the worst.
The #Dolphins believe QB Ryan Tannehill tore his ACL, per @CourtneyFallon_ & me. He'll have an MRI to determine if there is other damage.

Tannehill led the Dolphins to a 7-5 record entering today's game. Miami is now 8-5, but it looks like they'll be without Tannehill the rest of the season. He was in the midst of perhaps his best season, completing 66.7 of his passes for 2,800 yards, 16 TDs and 11 INTs.
The Dolphins' backup is veteran Matt Moore. There are no other QBs on the active roster, but rookie Brandon Doughty is on the practice squad.
This is a developing story. Refresh for updates.
