The Miami Dolphins have moved quickly this week, interviewing several coaching candidates for their vacant head coaching job this week. Here are all the latest rumors you need to know:
Gase the favorite?
Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase is receiving interest for seemingly every opening in the league, but the Dolphins are doing everything they can to land him and want to offer him the job as soon as possible, according to Brian Miller of Phin Phinatic:
"Gase is the coveted target of Stephen Ross. He interviewed on Thursday and has more interviews scheduled with other teams. Reports are that the Dolphins want to have him in again and there were also reports that Miami is indeed hoping to extend an offer. Rumors flew yesterday that the Dolphins had indeed offered him the job but those were unsubstantiated."
Miami hopes that Gase can help develop quarterback Ryan Tannehill after having productive stints in Denver and Chicago.
Mike Shanahan has "no shot" to get Dolphins job
Former Denver Broncos and Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan was one of the first people of interview for the Dolphins head coaching job, but it apparently did not go well. According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk, there is now "no chance" that Shanahan gets the job in Miami.
