The Miami Dolphins have signed running back Frank Gore to a one-year deal, as first reported by SiriusXM's Craig Mish.
It's a return home for Gore, who grew up in the Miami area and played his college football for the Miami Hurricanes.
Many anticipate that this will be the final season for Gore, who will turn 35 in May. Still, he started all 16 games for the Indianapolis Colts last season, marking the seventh consecutive year in which he played in all 16 games.
He is expected to split time with Kenyan Drake and Damien Harris in Miami's backfield.

Gore is entering his 14th season in the league, the past three with the Colts after spending the first decade of his career with the San Francisco 49ers.
The future Hall of Famer is currently fifth on the NFL's all-time rushing list with 14,026 yards, trailing Curtis Martin by just 75 yards for fourth. Assuming Gore passes Martin next season, he'll trail only Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, and Barry Sanders in NFL history.
He rushed for 961 yards and three touchdowns on a career-low 3.7 yards per carry last season.
