Quinn has two years and over $25 million remaining on his contract in a move that will save some cap space for Los Angeles.
Miami is expected to part with defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh this offseason and Quinn would help form a formidable pass-rushing duo with Cameron Wake.
Quinn racked up 32 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles in 15 games last season.
This is the second trade the Rams have made in the past few days. They acquired cornerback Marcus Peters from the Kansas City Chiefs last week.
