It took the Dolphins some time, but Miami held off the Jaguars thanks to a couple of interception returns for touchdowns.
The offense didn't score their first points until late in the third quarter, but the game was pretty well in hand by that point.
Turning Point: Up by seven, the Dolphins defense gave themselves some breathing room when Brett Grimes picked off Blake Bortles and returned it 22 yards for Miami's second defensive touchdown of the game. That opened it up to 17-3 in the third.
Key Stat: Ryan Tannehill had a 30+ run for the third consecutive game. Michael Vick is the last quarterback to achieve that feat.
Dolphins MVP: Dolphins defense - two defensive scores, three sacks and three takeaways.
The offense didn't have to do a whole lot in this game thanks to the defensive unit, who set the tone early against a young Jaguars offense.
Jaguars MVP: Denard Robinson -18 carries, 108 yards rushing
Robinson looks to have strengthened his grip on the starting running back role, with another solid effort. With Toby Gerhart banged up and struggling, it appears Robinson has a chance to stick as the top runner.
What's Next?
The Dolphins host the San Diego Chargers, while Jacksonville travels to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals.
