The Miami Dolphins are over the projected cap of $144 million for 2015 and have 12 free agents they need to decide the futures of, but according to the Miami Herald, the team isn't talking to players about it.
Brian Hartline and Mike Wallace are among the likely candidates to be asked to take pay cuts or be released, while others, like Charles Clay, are lingering on free agency. Players like Brandon Gibson, Dannell Ellerbe, and Phillip Wheeler also do not know their status.
This is not an uncommon situation for a franchise to be in, but it is uncommon for them to keep players in the dark while they're going through the decision making process.
