Dolphins News: Dolphins sign free agent cornerback Anthony Gaitor

Dolphins news has been focused on the beginning of OTAs the past couple of days, and  former Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Anthony Gaiter will be joining in on the team's offseason activities after being signed by the Dolphins on Wednesday.

Per Mike Wilkening of Pro Football Talk, "Gaitor (5-10, 182) was a seventh-round pick of the Bucs in 2011. At the time, now-Dolphins G.M. Dennis Hickey was the Buccaneers’ college scouting director."

The Bucs waived Gaitor back in May after Gaitor missed the entire 2013 NFL season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Gaitor's signing with the Miami Dolphins signifies a homecoming for the third-year pro. He attended Miami Northwestern Senior High School - a school which has been a hotbed for several NFL players, including 2014 first-round draft pick Teddy Bridgewater.

Gaitor has appeared in 12 NFL games in his career, amassing 12 tackles in limited playing time. He will most likely fight for a spot at the bottom of the team's depth chart in the secondary.
