Dolphins News: Dolphins make over front office after Incognito, Martin controversy

In Dolphins news today, the Miami Dolphins have shaken up their front office in the wake of the Jonathan Martin/Richie Incognito situation which rocked the team to its core last season.

Per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, "the Dolphins announced Monday that former Toys R Us and Target executive Dan Caspersen will run the human resources department, and that Joe Cicini will supervise the team’s security department.  Also, former Dolphins finance and legal affairs specialist Brandon Shore will be placed in the Dolphins’ training facility as a “dedicated resource” of the human resources department."

The Miami Dolphins believe that these hires will keep harassment situations like the one purported to have happened between Martin and Incognito from festering and turning into full-on distractions such as last season.

The shifting of Shore to the human resources department is a smart legal play for the Dolphins in the eyes of Florio: "if/when someone ever publicly claims harassment or bullying or other improper conduct without previously making a report to Shore, it will be easier for the Dolphins to prove that the team didn’t know and had no reason to know about the situation."
