The Miami Dolphins announced on Saturday that they have placed cornerback Will Davis on injured reserve with a knee injury.
In a corresponding move, the Dolphins re-signed cornerback Jalil Brown (Brown spent the offseason with Miami) to fill Davis' spot both on the roster and in the team's defensive back corps.
Per Mike Wilkening of NBC's Pro Football Talk, "according to ESPN’s James Walker, Davis suffered an ACL tear in Miami’s win vs. Buffalo on Thursday. A third-round pick of the Dolphins in 2013, the 24-year-old Davis has played in every game this season as a reserve, notching 17 tackles."
The six-foot-one, 207-pound Brown was a part of the Indianapolis Colts' active roster for two games this season. He has played in a total of 36 regular season games since being drafted by the Chiefs in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, with the majority of his NFL experience with Kansas City.
