The Miami Dolphins will host former Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon on April 22, according to the Fort Worth Star Telegram.
Miami doesn't have a pressing need for a running back, but they would like to upgrade the position. Gordon ran for 2,587 yards and 29 touchdowns last year for Wisconsin, and he fell just a few yards short of Barry Sanders' record for most all-purpose yards in a single season.
Gordon's vision and running ability is unquestioned, but teams want to see how good he is catching the ball out of the backfield and blocking on pass plays, both of which the Dolphins will undoubtedly test during their workout.
