The Miami Dolphins have officially placed Dion Jordan back on their active roster.
The 2013 first-round draft pick hasn't played this season after failing a drug test this past offseason. The team made the move official today, per several reports.
As Pro Football Talk's Michael David Smith indicates, Jordan could very well find himself chasing after Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Blake Bortles on Sunday:
Jordan is eligible and will presumably make his 2014 debut on Sunday at Jacksonville. What remains to be seen is whether Jordan can become the kind of pass rusher the Dolphins thought he was when they gave up their first- and second-round picks to move up and draft him last year. Jordan was a disappointment as a rookie with just 2.0 sacks in 16 games.
In order to make room for Jordan on the team's 53-man roster, the Dolphins waived wide receiver Damian Williams.
