The Miami Dolphins have already been active this offseason, trading Jarvis Landry to the Cleveland Browns, but they still have plenty of talent and expects to compete for a playoff spot every year. However, they are hoping to add a few free agents to sure up some key spots now that the new league year as started. As such, here are four players the Dolphins are hoping to sign in free agency:
4.) Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, New York Jets
The Dolphins will likely cut Julius Thomas because he is scheduled to make $6.6 million in 2018 after a season where he had only 41 receptions, 388 yards, and three touchdowns. Finding a cheaper option at the tight end position for head coach Adam Gase who is regarded as a "TE whisperer" may be a smart move. Austin Seferian-Jenkins is coming off a career year where he had 50 receptions, 357 yards, and three TDs.
3.) Keenan Robinson, LB, New York Giants
The Dolphins need to add talented depth at the linebacker position and Keenan Robinson would be a great fit. Robinson signed a one-year $3 million contract with the Giants in 2017 and will be in the same price range for 2018, which is affordable for Miami who can't afford to spend a lot. Two of the three starting linebackers for the Dolphins last season were over 30 and they struggled to tackle as the season went on. Robinson is only 28 years old coming off a season where he played in only six games. However, in those six games, he was productive with 32 tackles.

2.) Alex Okafor, DE, New Orleans Saints
Miami may elect to allow William Hayes walk and Saints defensive end Alex Okafor makes a lot of sense to fill in. Okafor recorded a career-high 43 tackles and 4.5 sacks in only 10 games with New Orleans last season. He will come at a discounted price after tearing his Achilles in Week 11.
1.) Justin Pugh, OT, New York Giants
The Dolphins offensive line struggled this past season and have multiple holes that need to be filled. Insert Justin Pugh who will be one of the best blockers in 2018 free agency. The former first-round pick didn't have the best season in 2017, but that may be more to blame on the rest of the Giants offensive line, rather than Pugh. The 27- year-old can play multiple offensive line positions, making him a versatile gem for the Dolphins.
