Ole Miss offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil fell to the Miami Dolphins on draft night after his social media accounts were hacked and created controversy, but the team feels they got lucky and have a future star on their hands. Here are three reasons why Tunsil will thrive with the Dolphins:
3) Giant chip on his shoulder
Tunsil was projected to be the No. 1 overall pick before the Titans traded out of the top spot, and the Ravens were going to draft him at No. 6 before his accounts were hacked. Instead, he ended up falling to the Dolphins for No. 13. While it's good for Miami and Tunsil did got to a better team, you better believe Tunsil wants to prove that those other teams made a mistake.
2) Overall ability
The biggest reason why Tunsil will be successful in Miami is, quite frankly, he would be successful in the NFL no matter where he ended up. He's extremely strong and athletic with outstanding technique, making him one of the premier offensive linemen in the league as soon as he steps on the field. There are no flaws in his game, and the Dolphins are the lucky winners.
1) Versatility
Tunsil played left tackle all three years at Ole Miss, and he did so with great success. However, the Dolphins have a bigger need at guard, and plan on using him there. That speed and athleticism will allow him to make the transition seemlessly. Since he can play multiple positions, Tunsil will become that much more valuable to the Dolphins.
