The 3-5 Miami Dolphins hit the road to face the 4-4 Philadelphia Eagles in a game that both teams need to win to help their playoff chances. The Eagles are six point favorites, but Vegas has it wrong this week. Here are three reasons why the Dolphins will CRUSH the Eagles.
3. Poor Philly Defense
The Eagles don't have a great defense and the Dolphins will be able to capitalize on that. The Eagles have a below-average defense compared to the rest of the league, and the Dolphins offense has been sharp more often than not since Joe Philbin was fired. The Eagles do force turnovers, but if the Dolphins hold onto the football, they'll be able to score.
2. Sam Bradford's Turnovers
Bradford has done a terrible job of avoiding turnovers this season. He's thrown 10 picks, the same number of touchdowns he has this season. He's also fumbled four times and has been lucky to only lose one. Those turnover issues won't disappear against the Dolphins. Miami will force a few turnovers, capitalize on them and defeat the Eagles in the process.
1. Lamar Miller
It's not a coincidence that as Miller goes, so does Miami's offense. After a rough first four games, Miller has played well in recent weeks. When Miller rushes for at least 50 yards, the Dolphins are undefeated. The Eagles' run defense isn't great, which means the Dolphins should give Miller the ball early and often. If Miller has a big game, the Dolphins will crush the Eagles.
