The Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans are both 1-3, but the two teams are on completely different trajectories. The Titans have lost three straight, but are considered a team on the rise because of rookie QB Marcus Mariota. The Dolphins have already fired their head coach and are in desperate need of a win. Miami will get that needed victory over a Titans team that isn't as good as many believe. Here are three reasons why the Dolphins are GUARANTEED to beat the Titans this weekend.
New Coach/Scheme
Joe Philbin is out, Dan Campbell is in. The first head coaching change this season came from the Dolphins and it was a move that had to be made. Campbell also made the decision to fire defensive coordinator Kevin Colye and promote defensive backs coach Lou Anarumo. The players were unhappy with Coyle and the way he he was using the players. Even if there aren't major scheme changes, expect enough tweaks from Campbell and Anarumo to result in better defensive play.
Ryan Tannehill
Tannehill has been asked to more than most QBs in the NFL this season, as the Dolphins have elected (andin some cases forced) to avoid the running game for much of the year. A more balanced attack would greatly benefit the offense, so hopefully that will be the case. Tannehill, despite early season struggles, is still a talented young QB. He'll get his game, and the Dolphins' season, turned around this weekend with a win.
Extra Preparation
Don't underestimate the power that having a few extra days to prepare and scheme can have. It's doubly important with a new head coach. The Dolphins can use the extra preparation time to scheme against the Titans and get healthy. Miami has been a bit banged up lately, so those extra days off will do wonders. With the added prep time, the Dolphins will defeat the Titans this weekend.
