Zalzman selected by Portland Timbers in 2019 Major League Soccer Superdraft

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – In the fourth round of the 2019 Major League Soccer Superdraft, the Portland Timbers of the MLS selected David Zalzman, who finished his senior season with the Tigers in 2018.

Zalzman wrapped up his Memphis career with a four goal season, including two penalty kicks. The Maracay, Venezuela native led the Tigers to their first American Athletic Conference Championship win, defeating USF in the quarterfinal round. He was named to First-Team All-AAC for his success on the pitch.

In 2017, Zalzman was named Second-Team All-AAC after leading the Tigers with two goals and three assists, totaling seven points.
