TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – University of Memphis track and field, led by Zachary Wyatt and Samantha Lenton, had success this weekend in the Crimson Tide Invitational.
Wyatt took the top spot in the men's 3000-meter steeplechase (8:54.34) and placed fifth in a field of 39 for the men's 1500-meter run (3:47.71). Lenton placed first in the women's discus for the second consecutive meet with a throw of 55.10 meters.
"Zach put together two excellent races," head coach Kevin Robinson said. "He is really starting to put things together. A few of the other distance athletes had some PRs and stronger performances as well, so I'm happy to see them starting to develop.
