MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Less than two full days after a tough 4-3 loss to Missouri, the University of Memphis women's tennis team (3-5) got its second consecutive win over Minnesota (5-3) with a 6-1 victory at The Racquet Club of Memphis, Sunday. Memphis defeated Minnesota 4-3 last year in a neutral site match at Missouri.
"We talked about the short turnaround," Head Coach Hayden Perez said. "We expected another 4-3 match, frankly. Another equally tough opponent and Sunday was going to come quick, but our mental fortitude helped us through it. I think the players' approach was solid.
