MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis women's tennis team opened its fall slate Thursday at the Missouri Invitational. The Tigers opened the day with doubles play, going 1-2. The team of Claire Sullivan and Josephine Cao won their match, 6-2, over the Missouri team of Mackenzy Middlebrooks and Clare Raley, while teammates Hanna Sohn and Linda Hohnold fell 6-3 to a Kansas State pairing and Laura Bente and Katherine Cao fell 6-3.
In afternoon singles play, Memphis got wins from Sohn and Bente to start their respective fall slates.
